How we got engaged

Friday morning, November 2, 2012 { also Brock's Birthday } we planned on going to the dog beach with our two fur babies. I "called in sick" to work to spend the day with him because it was his BIG 25th Birthday. The weather was absolutely GORGEOUS.  

I noticed he was acting weird and randomly was about to say something,  then stopped.  So of course I asked him what he was going to say.

 

He told me " Uhhh... I forgot"

 

I was like " You dork, how did you forget what you were JUST going to say to me!" 

 

So then about ten minutes later, he pulled a little box wrapped in Christmas paper {hhaha!}  out of his backpack and handed it to me and said "Here, I got you something."

 

I told him he shouldn't have gotten ME anything, after all it was HIS Birthday! I was so confused until I opened it and was blinded by this amazing ring! It was absolutely stunning.  Of course he said his whole " I don't wanna spend the rest of my life with anyone else but you, Will You Marry Me?"  and I'm pretty sure he said more than that but I couldn't stop staring at the ring.

 

and of course, I said YES!

So we got the ring sized that same day, and went out to dinner { Which is what I planned for his birthday anyways..} We went to this amazing restaurant on top of a hill with the most amazing view of Orange County. ( It's called Orange Hill Restaurant for any of those who want to try it out.) 

After dinner we headed home, and as soon as I walked upstairs to the kitchen, the lights turned on and everyone yelled "Surprise!" 

 

All my close friends were there to celebrate and congratulate me on the engagement! My fiance with the help of two close girlfriends planned this surprise! It was so cute! My girlfriend made me a sign with our engagement date and our names on it, and made some "love" punch and had snacks.  

Seriously was the cutest thing anyone has ever done for me and I couldn't ask for a better night.
